Dr. Abdulhakim Coskun started his medical journey at Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine in the Department of Radiology in 1985. He then pursued a specialization in Pediatric Radiology and Neuroradiology at Harvard University and California University (San Francisco) before continuing his career at Erciyes University.
Combining his strength in the medical field and passion for business development, he wears multiple hats and has successfully established his reputation as an entrepreneur who is devoted to technology advancement for the wider community. With a unique set of skills and talents as a medical practitioner and successful entrepreneur, he was granted the title of Pediatric Radiology Specialist” by the Ministry of Health, Turkey and has is a certified "Angel Investor" through the Ministry of Economy, Turkey.
CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER & ONCOLOGIST
Dr. Bünyamin Kaplan graduated from the Radiation Oncology specialization at program at Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine and is currently serving as a medical doctor for the Hospital Acıbadem Medical Group and Erciyes University Medical Oncology Department. He was also the Head of the Radiation Oncology Department of Medipol Mega Hospital until 2019 while serving at MD Anderson Oncology Center in Houston, Texas in the United States.
He has delivered 62 paper presentations at national scientific meetings and book publications. Further, he has previously served as the Associate Professor at Acıbadem Kayseri Hospital between 2009 and 2010, and as Prof. Dr. at Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine between 2010 and 2017. In addition to his professorship, he has always been a highly respected and core member of various medical associations in Turkey, including the Turkish Oncology Association, Radiation Oncology Association, Turkish Institution for Cancer Research and Control, and the Experimental and Clinical Research Association. His interests include Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, and Gynecologic Cancer. Many of his publications discuss the effect of radiotherapy dose rates on early intestinal toxicity, the effect of radiotherapy on the psychiatric disorders in patients with head and neck cancer, the effect of prognostic factors on survival in elderly patients with non-small cell lung cancer, concomitant chemoradiotherapy with docetaxel and cisplatin followed by consolidation chemotherapy in locally advanced unresectable non-small cell lung cancer, the effect of being overweight on survival in patients with gastric cancer undergoing adjuvant chemoradiotherapy, and many more.
In recognition of his work, he has won the “Verbal Information Award” for his work on The Effect of Radiotherapy Dose Rates On The Small Intestine In Rats in the 21st National Cancer Congress in 2015 as well as his research in Tumor-Stimulated Dendritic Cell Immunotherapy in Patients with Malignant Mesothelioma: Tumor Vaccines at the National Cancer Congress in 2003.
